MEET THE DOCTOR
Dr. Anu Sampat is Board Certified in Gastroenterology and specializes in providing the highest level of Gastroenterology and Hepatology care to every patient. The level of professionalism and attentive care offered have allowed her to build long lasting relationships of trust and commitment with her patients for over 20 years. Her professional staff is dedicated to offering the same level of care to all of her patients.
Dr. Sampat, born in India and raised in New Jersey, has been a practicing gastroenterologist for 20 years in Staten Island. She is a resident of Holmdel, NJ. Her desire to offer the same level of care to the people living in and around her hometown has led her to expand her practice with an office in Aberdeen, NJ.
The Monmouth County NJ location – NJ Digestive Health, located at 1340 Route 34 South, Aberdeen, NJ 07747, has a full state of the art procedure suite available to patients. The Staten Island location also uses a state of the art procedure suite as an outpatient service center.
Both offices are well equipped and dedicated to providing high quality care for the prevention and treatment of basic and complex digestive diseases.
EDUCATION
Dr. Sampat graduated from Bangalore University, (Bangalore, India) in 1988. She has been in private practice on Staten Island since 1997 and is affiliated with the Staten Island University Hospital in Staten Island, NY and Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel, NJ .
Dr. Sampat received her medical education in India at M.S. Ramaiah Medical College. She then began her postdoctoral training and completed her internship at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, NY. Dr. Sampat then began her medical residency at the same institution, where she was named assistant chief medical resident in her third year. She then relocated to New York Hospital Medical Center of Queens in Queens, NY where she was named chief medical resident and where she completed her gastroenterology fellowship. Dr. Sampat is a member of the American Gastroenterologist Association, the American College of Gastroenterology, and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
